Well day 1 is in the books of the tournament and for the most part it was quite underwhelming in terms of madness. We have to now turn to day 2, it’s a new day and the possibilities are all on the table as we hope for some fun down to the wire games.
Another unfortunate story coming out of Thursday was the UC San Diego loss, ending the magical run followed by this blogger. A tough 1st half put us in too much of a hole it seemed, especially with Awiwaniwa Tait-Jones jammed up all game in foul trouble. Still the Tritons showed they were for real fighting all the way back tying the game in the last minute. Hayden Gray & Tyler McGhie stepped up in this game. The result wasn’t what we wanted but man what a ride it was.
Now it was a senior heavy team but with ALL these dudes getting 6th and 7th years how do we not find Tait-Jones & Gray another year come on NCAA we need the Tritons to run it back in 2025-26.
As for today we have some really interesting matchups. One that a lot of people aren’t mentioning that you need to keep an eye on is Lipscomb vs Iowa State. Sneaky good game. Now let’s see some damn madness today!
