HOO! Jon Gruden has signed a contract with Barstool Sports that will last through the next three Super Bowls, and as a fan, I couldn't be more excited. Roger Goodell is going to sit in his stupid-ass basement chair that he still owes a seat to Dave Portnoy in, turn on the Thursday night game and fear for the horror stories Gruden has to share. Not saying that he will, Gruden most likely has put his past behind him but this hire has to piss off Goodell, and to that I chuckle.
The past I'm referencing is a string of emails leaked by the bad guy, former Washington Commanders owner, Dan Snyder while he was on his revenge tour and trying to tear down anyone he could on his sad fall from grace.
Before being hired by the Raiders, Gruden was headlining ESPN's Monday Night Football and doing draft analysis with Gruden's QB room. He's a proven media personality, Super Bowl-winning head coach, and dare I say, Hall of Famer. Now he will be fulfilling Steven Cheah's wet dream and be bringing a second Super Bowl ring to Barstool Sports.
Gruden joining Barstool has me ready to run through a fucking wall, it's paying off instant dividends, and even opening up coaching opportunities. Well, at least to Mintzy.
Gruden also joined the Yak to express his nervousness only to immediately draft a team of Gruden's Grinders, roast the Chicago office, and also get introduced to the biggest budding star at Barstool, Max Dolente's ass crack.
Coach Gruden was recently interviewed on Pardon My Take, in which the AWLs learned that Coach is still getting up at 4 a.m. to work out and watch film. He's the definition of a football guy, a 1-1 personality, and displayed adaptability and reform to today's media.
The guy said he just wants to donate to football so anytime he's around the office it will be must-watch television. Shoutout to Gruden's Grinders of Barstool Sports, this hire from a fan's perspective has got me feeling nicey, HOO!
